School Council Bylaw Committee
The School Council of Sturgeon Composite High School will be creating new Bylaws or Operating Procedures for our School Council. Our Bylaws were created in May 2001, and we feel that they are not serving us well in their current form.
School Council is creating an ad hoc committee to create the Bylaws / Operating Procedures. This committee will create a draft that will be provided to the School Council, as well as the school community, for feedback and input before accepted.
This committee is on a volunteer basis, and we anticipate the committee will run from December 2015 until May 2016. We anticipate no more than 6 meetings. Once the new Bylaws / Operating Procedures have been accepted, this committee will no longer be necessary.
We anticipate the new Bylaws / Operating Procedures to be in effect before the end of the 2015 – 2016 School Year. Meetings will be scheduled in consultation with the members on this committee.
